Ja'Meya
When I read what happened to Ja'meya I felt Sorry for her. Yes it surprises me.Her decision was terrible on bringing a gun on the bus.I think the consequences of her actions is to put her in a detention center and give her therapy.Yes it does intend that she didn't on intending on hurting anyone.Bullying is not something you should do.Race may influence the way everyone looks at it.It influenced my understanding when she brung the gun on the bus....
Kelby
Kelby's story makes me think about how they feel about what just happened and when will it stop. The sources of Kelby's strength's and optimism is her determination that is challenged all year. She is able to face the bullying because she is letting them push her to do better.LGBT youth is often singled out because they stand out.It reflect larger societal conflicts and attitudes because it's making others harm people and themselves.
Alex
Alex's story makes me feel worried about how kids feel when being bullied. They encounter a difference as if something has went wrong in their life. They can find the child who has been bullied a therapist and find the kids who bullied him and give them consequences. Responses by adults that can help are how can we make you feel safe and responses by adults that can make matters worse are you'll be fine its just the first day of school things will lighten up. Adult intervention is best when the kid is attempting to hurt someone or him/herself....
